Engagement Photography – Scott and Heidi
Location: Cleveland Park, Greenville SC
Wedding Photography isn’t always photographing weddings. A lot of times, engagement photos are taken too. The Engagement session can be very important – not only is it a chance for me to work with my clients before their wedding day, but in many cases, the couple hasn’t had professional photos taken of them together. Not to say that couples never have photos of themselves together….but there is a big difference between professional couples photos and cell phone selfies! And some times, clients want to send out Save The Date cards early to announce their weddings to their friends and families. Every once in a while I’ll also get a couple that has a child that they want to incorporate. So then an engagement session begins to look like a family session.
Well, Scott and Heidi needed all three! so we basically crammed an engagement session, family session, and save the date shots into one 2 hour shoot. This shoot was very rewarding, but so challenging! Not only were there time constraints, but the Save The Date shots required a little more posing than a standard engagement session. And we all know how hard it is to get children to do what you want them to. but it turned out great! The couple had chosen a baseball theme for their photos, so it added another layer of uniqueness to their shoot. And at the end of the day Scott and Heidi ended up with family shots, couples shots, and save the date photos in one session with minimal casualties; And I got a chance to work with and get to know these wonderful clients before their wedding day.
Take a look at some of their shots below!
