From the first time I met Sara and Hal, I was looking forward to photographing their wedding. They are so much fun – both together and independently – that I knew the entire day was going to be a blast. They are such a happy, vibrant couple that I found myself laughing and smiling along with them the entire day. We are all blessed with different things…Sara and Hal’s strength is sharing the most genuine, down-to-earth, and fun-loving personalities I could hope for. Happy people lead to happy pictures, and happy pictures lead to a lifetime of memories. This is a dream come true for a wedding photographer like me.
Sara and Hal’s day started like many others – with the preparations and getting ready photos. But even from the beginning, I could tell by the fun and laughter that was present everywhere that I was in for a real treat. Little jokes and moments shared by the bridal party and groomsmen, tender heart-felt moments between them and their family…all these things were abundant during the course of the day. I wish I could post everything and didn’t have to worry about space…but check below for some of my favorite highlights from Sara and Hal’s wedding
The getting ready and detail shots are some of my favorites. It may require a little extra time during the day, but it’s worth it to be able to slow down and really focus on the couple. In my opinion, there is no better time to candidly capture two people’s personalities.
These photos mainly took place at Mauldin United Methodist Church. Once you get to the wedding ceremony photos, you can get an idea of the beautiful lighting at this church.
After their first look and some wedding party photos, it was time for the ceremony. It was a beautiful church to photograph in, and I enjoyed it very much.
After the ceremony, it was time for the reception! And for a fun-loving couple, the reception means a lot. And why not arrive in style? Their getaway car of choice? A Tesla Model S. Definitely a first for me, but hopefully not the last.
Their choice for reception venue was The Commerce Club here in Greenville. The Commerce Club wedding photos always look great – every time I have photographed here I have left happy. It’s such a great location…high views, beautiful lighting, fountains (which make for great photos), and it overlooks the best of Greenville. Always a pleasure, especially when I have great clients who are up for additional photos. A wedding photographer’s dream!
Ending it all the way it began, with their Tesla getaway car. Who says parking garage photos have to be bland and boring? With the right gear and the right eye, it doesn’t even matter what your location is. The only requirement is love, which Sara and Hal are overflowing with. A great ending to a wonderful day! Thank you for choosing me to be a part of it.
