Celeste + Gregory
Spartanburg, South Carolina
This couple makes wedding photography look good. Seriously – you may remember Gregory and Celeste from their mountain engagement session. Working with them on their session quickly made them one of my favorite couples to work with. But it isn’t just because it is impossible to take a bad photo of these two together. It is because they are a dream couple to work with. Everything from their attitudes about life, to the way they interact with each other is pretty much a dream come true for a wedding photographer like me. Put them alone in a room, and they immediately focus solely on each other, like no one else in the entire world matters. Put them on a dance floor with alcohol and their closest friends, and they instantly are the life of the party. They love each other, they respect each other, and most importantly, they perfectly complement each other. You don’t run across what they have together every day.
Add in a gorgeous suite at the Spartanburg Marriott for preparations as well as The Duncan Estate (always a favorite of mine) for their ceremony/reception, and you have the recipe for the perfect wedding. I couldn’t think of a more-deserving couple.
Their day began at The Spartanburg Marriott, where the bridal party prepared themselves for the day. I always love being a part of the preparations – I want to tell the couple’s story from start to finish, and preparation photos are the perfect way to show you a not-commonly seen side of the wedding day.
From here, it was time to move on to their ceremony and reception at The Duncan Estate in Spartanburg SC. I have a soft spot for this venue – I photographed a few of my earlier weddings here, and I always loved the atmosphere. I haven’t been here in nearly 2 years, so I was really itching to see what I could do. I have changed a lot as a photographer in that time, but the Duncan Estate was just how I remembered it. I enjoyed working here again, and I would love to find myself back here in the future.
See what I mean? Life of the party. It was so much fun being a part of Gregory and Celeste’s wedding day, and getting to know them as people. They are wonderful people who are truly meant for each other, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together. Congratulations!
