Death Valley stadium engagement photos

While I will never take sides in this intense rivalry, a large majority of my couples are Clemson grads.  A lot of couples understandably want to use the Clemson University Campus for their engagement photos too.  I am more thank happy for this – I think Clemson is breathtaking as an engagement location!  Not just the campus, but the nearby botanical gardens, stadium, and of course the town itself all have a distinct, unique charm that is perfect for engagement photos.  However, this was the first time that I actually hit all 4 locations in one session!  Not only that, but this was the first time I was allowed access to the stadium, Death Valley, for engagement photos.  Even this happened totally by accident, when someone inside noticed us taking photos right outside and invited us in.  What luck!  What’s more, it happened to time perfectly with the setting sun, which is a photographer’s dream come true.

Despite the stadium access, beautiful sunset, and everything else, I still would have to say the highlight of the evening was at the end of the session when we hit the Tiger Town Tavern in downtown Clemson.  This was a meaningful place to Jessie and Tucker, and they wanted to end their session here.  Not only did I get to tackle a unique challenge of photographing in rough bar lighting, but I got to share a shot with the happy couple.  Any session that ends in shots is a win in my book, and any couple that is not too shy to have their wedding photographer join in is my kind of couple.

Check out some of my favorites below:

After finishing up at the botanical gardens, we hopped over to the Clemson university campus for more photos.  Jessie actually works here on campus, and it was nice having some inside info about the locations.

After a kind stranger opened the gates for us, we were able to access the stadium itself.  Jessie was especially excited, because she didn’t think we would be able to do photo inside Death Valley itself.  It’s always a happy win for me when we can do something unique, unexpected, and meaningful to the couple.

last stop, Tiger Town Tavern, where the couple shared some of their early experiences together.  And they were kind enough to take some shots with me after we finished.  I was one happy photographer.

I know I speak for both of us when I say we couldn’t be more pleased with how these shots all turned out and that it was a really fun and special day! You are incredibly professional yet down-to-earth and fun to work with. I really appreciate and admire that you let us just be ourselves and still manage to capture such great moments. Your work speaks for itself and I Thank You for the hard work. We’ll sneak ya another car bomb at the wedding!!!
