Cliffs at Glassy Chapel Wedding Photography
Danelle + Mark
Greenville, South Carolina
The Cliffs at Glassy Chapel is one of those iconic Greenville locations that is truly hard to miss. And yet with all the weddings I have photographed around Greenville, the Cliffs at Glassy was one of those wedding venues that just slipped through the cracks for me. I have done other types of photography here, but never a wedding ceremony. And with a similar feel to Pretty Place Chapel but with more infrastructure, it has always been high on my list to photograph. So imagine how excited I was to have my debut here with Danelle and Mark, two people that I would argue are the sweetest, most down-to-earth people on the planet. A couple who was always down for adventure, always willing (and patient!) to try something new, and a couple who wasn’t afraid to show how they truly felt about each other. Two different people from different paths who just happened to find each other at just the right time in their lives. It was truly a pleasure to get to know these two better, to learn a bit more about their lives, and to capture their story in a way that hopefully does it justice.
So please enjoy some of my favorites from Danelle and Mark’s story below:
If you couldn’t tell already, Danelle got ready for the wedding at Green Valley Country Club, which was also to be her reception location. Mark got ready at the Cliffs at Glassy Clubhouse, just a short distance from the chapel itself. One look at the Cliffs at Glassy Chapel is all you need to understand why these two wanted to tie the knot here.
Reception at Green Valley Country Club
Similar to Pretty Place Chapel, If you are getting married at The Cliffs at Glassy, you will need to find a separate reception location. Danelle and Mark chose Green Valley Country Club, another picturesque wedding venue about 30 minutes away. Green Valley Country Club has just undergone an intense renovation, and this was my first time back here since it was finished. They really went all-out: Beautiful chandeliers, an overhauled reception area, and a completely re-designed bridal suite made it the perfect location for a wedding reception like Danelle and Mark had in mind. These two are full of surprises, and they capped the day with a flower petal grand exit – Another first for me.
Do those last few photos look familiar? Since Danelle and Mark were staying at Hotel Domestique, and their wedding wrapped up right around sunset, we decided this would be an incredible way to cap off the evening. There was no better way to wrap up their story, something that I enjoyed every second of. Their was a day full of surprises, full of wedding photography firsts for me, and full of love and happiness. I could never hope for anything more.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
