Downtown Greenville SC Engagement Photos | Winter Engagement Photos| Falls Park Engagement Session
Erika & Derek
Well, I mentioned at the top that this was a winter engagement session, but with the way the weather has been lately it truly felt more like Spring. This is fine with me of course, Spring is gorgeous in Greenville. But I do have to wonder what our Summer is going to look like, when Spring feels like it’s starting in mid February. Erika and Derek’s engagement photos took place on the most flawless Spring / winter day I’ve seen in many years. We’re talking about temperatures in the 70s, sunny, a slight breeze, and of course a wonderful sunset to top things off. A wedding photographer’s field day. Did I mention that Erika and Derek are a fun loving couple, who look amazing together no matter what they’re doing? I’ll let you be the judge, but check out their photos below and tell me they don’t.
It is said that Falls Park and downtown Greenville is an over-photographed engagement location. I actually have a lot of couples tell me they don’t want their engagement photos taken at Falls Park because it’s so overdone. But to be honest, I’ve never seen it that way. True, thousands of couples have had their engagement photos taken in Falls Park, but the key is to not focus on the environment when photographing an engagement here. I believe the focus should always be on the couple and how they act together. The environment is only the backdrop, and it should only be used in a way that complements the feeling that needs to be conveyed in the photo. By photographing from this mindset, you can take the most overdone locations and create something completely unrecognizable.
I definitely enjoyed Erika and Derek’s session, as well as the weather. Hopefully it will stay like this for my upcoming sessions as well. Enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed Erika and Derek’s Falls Park and Downtown Greenville engagement photos. Be sure to check out their wedding, which will be coming up later this year. If they were this fun in their engagement session, I can only image what their wedding photography will look like. Until next time!
