Duncan Estate Wedding Photos
Spartanburg Wedding Photographer
It’s not every day that I get a request for completely candid wedding coverage, but this is something that Justin and Michelle wanted to emphasize from day 1. Of course this was fine with me – I prefer to shoot candidly whenever possible anyway. Wedding photography is a really awkward experience for most people, and I believe that my job is to make it feel as natural as possible. A big part of this is finding that thin line in between being involved enough to ensure great results while being on the sidelines enough to ensure that everyone is as happy and comfortable as they can be. This is actually a fun process for me, so when I get a couple like Justin and Michelle, it is a rare treat.
But there is something else that makes their wedding a little more unique than others. Justin happens to be a fellow photographer, and being hired by another photographer is always a huge compliment for me. After all, photographers tend to be overly critical because they see minor details and imperfections that no other sane person would ever see. I know I do. So to have one hire me and completely trust in the results sometimes boggles my mind. But in a good way.
So what were the results? Check below and see some of the highlights of their day below:

the Duncan Estate and I go way back. I photographed a few of my earlier weddings here, and I always love the atmosphere. Every time I come back, I strive to find something new, or something else I overlooked some time before. That’s why I like Duncan Estate as a wedding venue – it gives me something a little different each time.
Despite a reception on the smaller side, there was definitely no shortage of moments to capture. The people are what makes the reception, and there were some characters here for sure. I enjoyed every minute.
Justin and Michelle’s wedding at the Duncan Estate was a great experience for me, and from the look of the photos, them as well. And if you liked their wedding photos, you may see more of Justin in the future – he sometimes works as my 2nd photographer now.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Absolutely amazing! I’m so happy to say these are the BEST wedding pictures I have ever seen!
Thank you both so much for your kind words!
I just broke down and cried thinking of how lovely the wedding was and how much I miss my nephews who are all grown up now. Beautiful wedding photos!
