Downtown Greenville SC Engagement | Spring Engagement Photos| Falls Park Engagement
Michaela & David
Despite it still being February, Spring is definitely in full swing with the flowers and trees blooming beautifully in downtown Greenville. I’m a little torn with this year’s early Spring engagements…on one hand we all love being outdoors when it’s in the 70s and sunny. But on the other hand, I have a lot of outdoor weddings this Summer and I’m a little worried I will be working in the triple digits while wearing 20lbs of gear and dress clothes! I’ve just decided to enjoy the perfect Spring weather while I have it and not worry about the potentially scorching summer. Part of enjoying the weather means making time for some last minute engagement photo shoots – my favorite!
For me, the locations were nothing new: downtown Greenville SC and Falls Park are some of the most common places for engagement photos around here. However, Michaela and David were traveling from out-of-town…Charlotte to be exact, and although they were already well familiar with the area, it did give us a new perspective on things. It didn’t hurt that the weather was PERFECT for a Spring engagement in Falls Park, but we weren’t the only ones with the idea. In fact, I ran into no less than a half dozen other photographers doing everything from family photos to senior portraits. Plus hundreds and hundreds of other people enjoying the beautiful weather downtown – more than I believe I’ve ever seen there without a major event taking place.
But just like the other engagement photo sessions I’ve photographed here lately, I wanted to put a slightly new spin on Michaela and David’s engagement photos. I never like photographing the same thing twice, so it was a pleasure working with such a fun and vibrant couple who didn’t mind trying some new ideas. But don’t take my word for it, check out some of my favorites from their Falls Park engagement session below!
Aren’t they wonderful together? Michaela and David make a great couple, and I wish them much luck with their future together. Enjoy the Spring while it lasts!
