Engagement Photography – Stephanie and Trey
I’m back in Clemson once again for this engagement session! This time, with Stephanie and Trey. These two wonderful, funny people are getting married next month in May – We cut it a bit close for an engagement session, but we all had wanted to wait for warmer weather. Unfortunately, while the weather warmed up, it also decided to rain for a solid week before the photo session. Luckily both Stephanie and Trey are adventurous people – we decided to go ahead and photograph the engagement in the rain!
Actually, I love shooting in the rain. A little rain adds dimension and character to a photo. In fact, using rain to accent photos has long been a standby in landscape photography. In landscapes, water adds contrast and saturation to the photo, and greatly enhances the overall look and feel of a natural place. For engagement photography, the focus is more on the couple, but it still has a similar effect.
In addition to that, Clemson University is just full of exciting, interesting locations for an engagement! And not just on the campus…the nearby Botanical Gardens are always an exciting place to shoot. The couple had only one request: That we take a photo at Sike’s Hall. Unfortunately, the best laid plans still have issues – Clemson University just happened have their Homecoming that same day. People were everywhere! All dressed up and lining up for photos in their tuxes and dresses…Especially at Sike’s Hall. Still, we were able to move past this latest development and get the shots we wanted.
Please enjoy this small sample from that great day!
