Blue Ridge Parkway Mountain Engagement Photos | Matthew Pautz Photography | Greenville Wedding Photographer | Engagement Photography
Hannah and Justin
As a Greenville SC wedding photographer, Mountain engagement photos are not as common of a thing as I would like. It’s a bit longer of a drive to reach than, say, if you were out in Colorado. But they are no less dramatic, and the beauty of the blue ridge parkway in North Carolina makes it the perfect location for some gorgeous engagement photography with an adventurous vibe. And every once in a while I will get a special couple who is willing to make the extra drive, deal with the frustration of planning, and then hike up the mountainside for the sake of showing off who they are as a couple. Hannah and Justin are nothing if not adventurous, and their engagement photos were truly special as a result. Please enjoy some of the highlights below from their blue ridge mountain engagement session:
First, Hannah and Justin wanted some photos with their adorable sheepdog / poodle mix puppy, aptly named ‘Tux”. I am a dog lover, so I enjoyed every second of this. And yes, he is just as fluffy as he looks.
Mountain engagement photo sessions can be very unpredictable, and require a lot of planning to pull-off. This was actually our second attempt, as the first day we picked was marred with problems. Poor weather combined with an unexpected parkway closure forced us to cancel the original session, after we had already been on the road for over an hour. Luckily we were able to reschedule, and the second time was the charm. I got to work with a perfect sunset, and the perfect couple. Things always happen for a reason.
Needless to say, I am very excited to work again with Hannah and Justin on their upcoming Greenville SC wedding. They are an amazing couple, and fun to work with. Every minute you spend with them makes it obvious that these two were meant to be together. Stay tuned for their Fall wedding!
