Bleckley Inn Wedding Photos
Anderson Wedding Photographers
Anderson, South Carolina
One of the best parts of photographing weddings in Greenville (And by extension, Anderson SC) is getting to work with some truly amazing wedding professionals. The Upstate SC region has a unique vibe that fosters cooperation and collaboration among wedding vendors that isn’t found in other regions. So when Holly, proprietor of Holly’s Cakes approached me about photographing her daughter Nicole’s wedding at The Bleckley Inn, I was ecstatic. Being hired for the wedding of a fellow wedding vendor is an incredible compliment to me, and I knew the wedding would be filled with a veritable “who’s who” among the region’s best vendors. Seriously, check the end of this blog and see all the names that helped put it all together – it was quite an experience.
But while amazing wedding professionals are instrumental in creating the day itself, wedding photography needs more. Especially my style of candid wedding photography – I need more than just beautiful details, I need a wonderful couple to document while they experience the day together. Nicole and Tyler turned out to be perfectly that – A couple so focused and in-tune with each other that I found I didn’t have to do much at all in terms of direction. They were a couple so obviously meant to be together that their spirit and happiness were infectious to everyone around them. I frequently say that to tell a couple’s story, I need to experience it side-by-side with them. Well Nicole and Tyler’s story was one of those experiences that reminded me why I love wedding photography so much, and experiencing it with them was an absolute joy.

Nicole and Tyler chose the Bleckley Inn for everything – Preparations, ceremony, and reception. It was a great setting for their wedding, and I always enjoy being able to stay put for the majority of the day. Especially much so since there were so many moments with these two – if I had to worry about moving around to different locations, it would have been much harder to capture these special memories.
Having a chance to photograph the wedding of the daughter of a professional wedding cake designer has it’s benefits! Holly’s Cakes always does exceptional work, and I loved seeing the details of their wedding cake. Being a people/moment-focused photographer means my blogs (with their limited space) are usually filled with those photos, and I save the detail photos for the full gallery. But this was a rare treat! I had to make room for their beautiful and delicious wedding cake. Their cake had three very meaningful and personal decorations – One of those is photographed below. But as I value privacy and brevity, you won’t see everything on this blog. But be sure to check out Holly’s Cakes and maybe you will see the rest!
Adventurous brides usually collect nature in their dresses, and Nicole’s was no exception. After the picture-perfect wedding ceremony at The Bleckley Inn courtyard, it was time for the reception. These two really pulled out all the stops, and had one truly wild wedding reception. Receptions are a specialty of mine, so this is always something I appreciate. Throw in the expert DJing of Justin at Uptown Entertainment, a CO2 cannon, reception uplighting, and a host of other mood-setting details, and you have the making of a very memorable party.
That’s what I call a wrap on one truly memorable wedding day. This wedding was a great example of what happens when the best wedding vendors come together with an exceptional couple to create a perfect wedding day. Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!
