Alexandria and Ben | Matthew Pautz Photography | Greenville Wedding Photographer
“In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours.
In all the world, there is no love for you like mine.”– Maya Angelou
You may remember Alexandria and Ben from their engagement session.
Do you know what makes an excellent wedding excellent? While there are a ton of things that go into a good wedding, there is only one thing that determines how it will remembered: The couple’s happiness.
I would certainly classify Alexandria and Ben as a happy couple. And if you know me, I love happy couples. For a wedding photographer, couples like Alex and Ben are amazing to work with – there is no hiding their love for each other, and their wedding photos show it. Every photo was bursting with their personality, and I loved every second of their wedding. Choosing only 60 photos for this blog was incredibly difficult, and I wish I could show everything from this beautiful day. Take a look below for some of my favorites!
(continued below)
As seen above, the groomsmen did their preparations in gorgeously styled pool house at a local home here in Greenville. The bridesmaids on the other hand, utilized the reception space for their getting ready photos. The venue was Zen: an elegant space for hire here in Greenville SC. This was my first time photographing at Zen, and I absolutely loved the modern look at feel of the space. It perfectly complemented Alexandria and Ben’s wedding, as well as their personalities.
Soon, it was time to begin the ceremony. Alexandria and Ben chose a beautiful church for the wedding ceremony – Holy Trinity Anglican Church here in downtown Greenville SC. This was also my first time photographing here, but hopefully will not be my last. Out of all the churches I’ve photographed in, Holy Trinity is by far my favorite…and the smallest. It served as a beautiful backdrop for an equally beautiful wedding ceremony.
One of the things I love about working with Alexandria and Ben is how their personalities perfectly complement each other. They are so wonderful together, and working with them for their photos was a joy. Some couples just work, and everything they do together is beautiful. Alex and Ben are one of those couples.
These photos also show off Zen, their gorgeous Zen Garden, and the surrounding areas on Main St. You can even see The Old Cigar Warehouse from here.
Zen also provided a beautiful space for their reception, which was probably the most unique one I’ve ever photographed. From the beginning, a focal point of their reception was dancing – not just regular wedding dancing though: swing dancing. I greatly loved the unique wedding photography challenges this presented, as well as being a part of the amazing energy that came as a result.
Zen’s beautiful garden provided a beautiful location for a few night portraits during the reception. Once again, Alex and Ben were flawless.
I hope you enjoyed the wedding photography from Alexandria and Ben’s gorgeous Greenville SC wedding. The hardest part of my job is just choosing just a few of the shots I want to – if it were up to me, I would post all 800+ images and be done with it. Alex and Ben are just that kind of couple – They make my job so easy. I wish you both a long and happy life together, and once again – thank you for allowing me into your day together!
