Victoria Valley Vineyards Reception
Matt and Lee
“A hundred hearts would be too few to carry all my love for you.”
– Unknown
Ambitious. This one word summarizes both the couple, and their wedding. 13 hours. 5 locations. 175 logged miles. Matt and Lee. Sentence fragments aside, I am not kidding when I say ambitious. I have always felt closer to Matt and Lee than normal, because we share that ambition. I can see it in their eyes, both when they talk about what their lives will hold, and when they talk about each other. That makes sense of course, since their lives are now combined in a way where their goals are now intertwined. But the first step to a life together is of course the wedding…one I consider myself lucky to be a part of.
You may remember Matt and Lee from their mountain engagement session. They will always have a special place in my heart, because they were the first. They were the brave ones who listened to my idea of driving 2 hours into the middle of nowhere with unpredictable weather for the sake of engagement photos. Not surprisingly when it came time to pick their wedding venue, they chose the quintessential SC mountain locations for their wedding as well. Fred W Symmes Chapel / pretty place wedding photos are always stunning because of the one-of-a-kind view. Plus, with their reception at Victoria Valley Vineyards, they were well-covered on the mountain front. I couldn’t think of a better location to showcase their new lives together

If I could choose one image to sum up the entire day it would be the sunset shot you see above.
Lee and her bridesmaids began their day at The Spartanburg Marriott, and Marlowe’s Executive Hair. The groomsmen, being able to relax a bit more than the ladies, chose the groom’s house in Simpsonville for their preparations.
Victoria Valley Vineyards was the location for their first look, as well as their reception. This was my first time photographing a wedding here, but hopefully not my last.
The opportunity to take Fred W Symmes Chapel wedding photos (aka Pretty Place wedding photos) on a cloudy day was very unique. The view is spectacular no matter what the weather, and the clouds added a bit of a unique flavor to their wedding photos. The mountains never fail to amaze me with their beauty.
Back to Victoria Valley Vineyards for the reception, which true to their nature, was full of laughter and fun. If you could only see how much these two love each other…photos do not do it justice.
I hope you have enjoyed these photos from Matt and Lee’s Fred W Symmes chapel / Pretty Place wedding. I wish them both so much happiness in their new lives together. From their looks in their wedding photos, that should not be a problem at all. Until next time!
